Cape-Town and Paris-based consultancy, Lelapa S.A.S.U., is hiring an individual to work across two part-time roles: an Impact Network Administrator for the Women in African Investments (WAI) Group and an Executive Assistant to the Founder of Lelapa.
Lelapa S.A.S.U. is a consultancy that brings together individuals and organisations to work on challenges in access to finance for African small businesses –-particularly those led by women entrepreneurs. We take an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and have launched two standalone organisations, the African Crowdfunding Association and the Women in African Investments (WAI) Group.
The WAI Group is an influential collective of over 200 senior female investment professionals working across the African continent. A ground-up organisation, its mission is to support women fund managers through networking, knowledge-sharing and awareness-building to catalyse gender-equitable economic growth in Africa.

Responsibilities – Impact Network Administrator
- End-to-end onboarding of members using Google Sheets, WordPress and other tools.
- Management and reconciliations of global subscriptions, billing and member database.
- Website content development and back-end maintenance.
- Management of the network’s annual calendar of events.
- Organisation of in-person events in multiple African cities as well as virtual gatherings.
- Engagement with existing members, sponsors and partners via e-mail and WhatsApp.
Responsibilities – Executive Assistant
- Assisting with digital book-keeping using accounting software.
- Assistance with hiring and procurement across multiple projects.
- Formatting and editing Word and PowerPoint presentations.
- Scheduling and communication with Board and stakeholders.
- Taking meeting minutes and notes.
- Any ad-hoc administrative task assigned by the Founder from time to time.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
Minimum qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the Social Sciences or Commerce.
- At least 2 years of directly relevant work experience or 5 years’ general work experience.
- Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, Airtable or other database manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience writing, formatting and editing short and long form reports and presentations, including in Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong ability to be concise in communications and to summarise reports into key points.
Important: Candidates must have their own laptop/computer, smartphone and a permanent internet connection.
Preferred qualifications and skills
- Experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant and/or Book-keeper/ Accountant.
- Knowledge of the investment industry, corporate finance or development finance.
- Fluency or Intermediate level of French.
- Experience with Xero or other accounting software.
- Experience with WordPress, G-suite, Slack, Zoom or other productivity software.
